A new way to give

You already support SurfAid. Here's how your travel can too.

Whenever a hotel booking is made, the hotel pays a commission to whoever arranged it. Most of the time, that money stays with an online booking platform. When Wanderpact arranges your stay instead, 75% of that commission is contributed to SurfAid, with the remainder covering our operating costs as an advisory. You pay the same rate you would booking directly, and you get a personal booking service in the process. It simply means that money which would never otherwise reach SurfAid now does, on top of anything you already give.

SurfAid receives the commission.

75% of the commission from your stay is contributed to SurfAid, and we'll confirm what your booking generated.

Where the money goes.

SurfAid works in some of the most remote communities in Indonesia, across the Mentawai Islands, Nias, Sumba, and Sumbawa, focusing on maternal and child health, clean water, and community resilience. Contributions from Wanderpact bookings support this work. It builds on a track record that includes SurfAid's completed Nusatani program on Sumba.

Where the road ends, the work begins.

SurfAid was founded in 2000 by surfers who kept returning to Indonesia's most remote islands and could no longer ignore what they found behind the beaches. In the Mentawai, Nias, Sumba and Sumbawa, communities live beyond the reach of basic government services, and mothers and children face some of the highest preventable mortality rates in the world.

SurfAid's Indonesian teams work alongside these communities on clean water, healthcare and nutrition, with a hand up, not a handout approach. Programs are designed and run by the communities themselves, so the change outlasts the funding.

As a SurfAid supporter, every booking we arrange for you supports SurfAid, wherever in the world you're headed. A stay in Tokyo, Rome, or Queenstown generates commission just as a stay in Indonesia does, and we direct it to the organisation you already believe in. Over time, your travel becomes a recurring source of funding for SurfAid's work.
