Where the money goes

Impact.

A running record of what Wanderpact bookings have funded, and who received the money.

First donation — April 2026

$1,200 to So They Can.

Kenya · Teacher salary funding

The first Wanderpact booking was a five-night stay at Angama Mara in Kenya, above the Oloololo Escarpment. The guests arrived in April during the shoulder season, when the Mara is quieter and the morning light holds longer.

The commission from that single booking — combined with a second booking at Giraffe Manor the same week — generated $1,200 in charitable revenue. That amount was transferred to So They Can in full.

At a So They Can school in Samburu County, a teacher named Grace Wanjiru was paid her monthly salary from that transfer. She has taught at the school for six years. She has 34 students in her class. Twenty-two of them are girls, in a county where girls' school completion rates sit below 40%.

Grace knows nothing about Wanderpact. She knows she was paid. She knows her students showed up on Monday.

About So They Can.

So They Can works across Kenya and Tanzania building primary and secondary schools, training teachers, and running integrated community programs — nutrition, healthcare, parental education — that give children a genuine path to secondary school completion and beyond.

Their model prioritises long-term partnership over short-term intervention. They stay. The schools they build are not handed over and abandoned — So They Can continues to fund operations, train staff, and track outcomes for the duration of each partnership.

Since founding, they have reached over 60,000 children. Their accounts are audited annually and published in full on their website.
